Activity Overview

Students begin the study of mirrors by investigating reflection from a plane mirror. To find the direction of a reflected light ray, they measure the angles of incidence and reflection. Then they locate the reflected image and observe the reversals in reflections of letters of the alphabet. Finally, students investigate multiple reflections from two mirrors and the resulting symmetrical patterns.
