Teaching Notes
Help the students understand the organization of a zip code: a frame bit on either end, nine coded digits, and a check digit. You can write a ZIP code on the board and ask them to identify these three parts. Consider having the students do Physics To Go, Questions 1 through 6, in class. These questions explain the code and the need for the exception to represent zero. |
